Why Modular?

Up until just a few years ago, we'd get questions all the time about the quality of modular construction.  People used to confuse modular construction with trailers and mobile homes, or maybe they were concerned that their town would not allow a modular home to be built in their neighborhood.

Over the years, we get fewer and fewer questions like that.  Consumers today have a better understanding of what modular construction is and isn’t.  While there are still some misconceptions out there, the public is much more educated today than just a few short years ago.

With modular construction, we’re having the bulk of the “grunt work” done inside the factory.  This brings economies of labor, materials, and scale.  The result is a superior quality home at a cost savings to building on site.  There is no trade off, you get both benefits.

Don’t think of a “modular home” as a thing.  Rather, think of modular construction as a process.  Nobody looks at a Mercedes, Lexus or a Cadillac and calls it “an assembly line car”.  They are cars.  Some people might still build cars by hand, but the vast majority of the cars in the world, even luxury cars, are built in the factory.

It works the same way with modular construction.  Once your house is finished, it’s not a “modular home”.  It’s your home.  And, the fact that it was built with modular construction is simply a piece of trivia, an interesting fact.  That fact would be almost totally irrelevant, except when you remember that homes built with modular construction are much higher in quality than the average site-built home.

Modular homes appreciate, appraise, and resell the same or better than comparable site-built homes.  The banks understand this, realtors understand this, and consumers now understand this.

Long story short, modular construction is the best way to get the most house for your money.  But, you’re here on our website, so you probably already know that, right?
